Music Scholarships

Pursuing music at Briar Cliff University means developing your talents in a creative, supportive, and collaborative environment. Music scholarships are awarded to students who are passionate about their craft and committed to growing their skills through performance, practice, and engagement.

Athletic-sized scholarships are available to musically inclined students regardless of major. From their first year, students actively participate in a diverse and dynamic range of ensembles, performing frequently and building confidence on stage. Scholarships are awarded through audition, with additional funding available for students who demonstrate strong vocal or instrumental proficiency and sight-reading skills.

Cliff Singers, Mariachi Band, & Jazz Ensemble

The Cliff Singers are an auditioned ensemble with a long-standing choral tradition, performing locally, nationally, and internationally. They present a diverse range of music, from classical choral works to ethnic and world music.

The Mariachi Band provides students with the opportunity to perform traditional and contemporary mariachi music while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the genre. Open to musicians of varying experience levels!

The Jazz Ensemble brings together talented musicians to perform a wide range of styles, from traditional jazz standards by Duke Ellington and Count Basie to Latin jazz and fusion. The group performs regularly on campus and at venues throughout the region.
